My name is Sarah Cole, and I live here in Entiat with my husband, David Cole, and our four children. Entiat has been my home since 1996. I’m a proud alumna of Entiat School, graduating in 2010 before going on to earn an Associate of Technical Science in Criminal Justice with a Corrections Certificate and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Throughout my life, I’ve owned and successfully operated five businesses in the Entiat Valley, and I currently own two local businesses that continue to serve our community. In addition to running businesses, I stay actively involved in roles that support and strengthen our town. I serve as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Entiat, work as a substitute teacher at the school, and participate as an active member of the PTO.

Today, I have the honor of serving as the President of the Entiat Valley Chamber of Commerce. In this role, I work to support local businesses, encourage economic growth, and help create opportunities that bring our community together. My goal is to continue building a strong, collaborative Chamber that reflects the values, history, and forward momentum of the Entiat Valley.

Entiat has shaped who I am, and it’s important to me to give back through service, leadership, and a genuine love for the community that raised me.

I am the Entiat Valley Chamber Secretary. I joined the chamber because supporting other local business owners and my community is important to me. I know first hand the challenges of owning your own business. My family and I have lived for over eleven years up the Entiat River. Our children are homeschooled and we often work together at our local business Valley Butchery. In the summer you will find us swimming at Lake Chelan or paddle boarding to the local sand bar in Entiat. Living in this area is a dream come true.

Michael Spohnholtz

My name is Michael Spohnholtz, and I live in the upper part of the Entiat Valley, near the 22-mile mark, with my wife, Mary.  My whole family is now close by!  My children (Nick and Amanda) and my three grandkids (Jaxon, Leona, and Alena) all live down in the town of Entiat.

We first bought our vacation land in the upper valley back in 2006, and we moved here to live full-time in 2022.

I recently retired after working for 35 years in healthcare IT (Information Technology) at Virginia Mason Medical Center. I spent my career dealing with computers and technology in a hospital setting.

Now, I'm busy helping the community:

Entiat Valley Historical Society and Museum: I serve as a board member, and I'm in charge of technology for the museum. I really enjoy helping to tell the story of our valley's past and keeping old items and their histories safe.

Entiat Chamber of Commerce: I am the Treasurer (the person who manages the money). I hope that in this role, we can help local businesses and the community work together to grow the economy and create an active, spirited community where everyone feels like they can join in.

President of Entiat Arts Collective

Entiat first called to me in 2008 when we found our future forever homesite. In 2018 we built our home and decided to become full time Entiat residents. Since retiring, I’ve becoming active in the Entiat community, bringing with me 40 years of organizational and business operations management experience. This skill set has been valuable in the various projects and groups I’ve become involved in.

As an Entiat fiber artist, I participated as a vendor in the original Makers Markets. In 2022, I took over the organizing and running of the Entiat Art events and the Holiday Bazaar. In 2024, I wanted to expand our available community creative opportunities and so created the Entiat Arts Collective, with Sophie Campbell and Mary Spohnholtz as active board members. Together we bring to the community a year-round calendar of creative events, workshops, and opportunities.

In addition to running the Entiat Arts Collective, I have developed and organized a Volunteer Reading Partner program at the Entiat School, where volunteers help our young readers.

I’m also a contributing member of the Friends of the Entiat Library and the Entiat Valley Chamber of Commerce.  My passion for community, connections, and creativity are evident in everything I do. And my business and organizational skills and style bring to that a strong sense of order, logic and fairness, and clear communications. I’m always willing to share insights, experience, and abilities to initiatives that help make Entiat an amazing community.
